Artist Biography for Ahmed Abdel Fattah ( 1910 - 2007 )
Born in Cairo – March 30, 1910 . Died in New Jersy - 31 December 2007
Diploma from the "Fine Arts High School" – 1934 .
Produced the first Egyptian cartoon film together with Anton Selim And Ahmed Selim in 1937 . Diploma from the "Education High Institute" – 1939 .
Teacher of drawing in different schools. Retired in 1970 as a General Inspector at the Ministry Of Education. Lived in Alexandria since 1945 where he founded the first museum for arts education in collaboration with his colleague Hussein Roushdi. He kept on his Passion for painting since 1930 until now . "Academic – Realism – Impressionnism" are his main interests. One Painting "Motherhood" is owned by the Museum Of Modern Art.
First solo exhibition "Water color & Pastel" at the Mahmoud Said Museum – 2001 . Participated in Mahmoud Said festivals 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 &2007 .
Second solo exhibition "Oil Painting" at "Alexandria Center of Creativity" - 2004 . Participated in "Small Works" exhibition at Mahmoud Said museum – 2005 . Guest of Honor at the "Arab Artists Festival" at EL-Sawy Cultural Wheel – 2005 .
Third solo exhibition at Ahmed Shawki museum - April 2006 Guest of Honor at "Arab Wings" Exhibition - Cairo 2007 Guast of Honor at " From Cairo to Jeddah " by Arab Wings - Saudi Arabia - 2007
