Artist - Puerto Rico
Carly Betancourt Puerto Rican artist. She began to paint very young and love all artistic manifestations. She exhibits in the most popular touristy place in Puerto Rico, “Plaza de Armas”, at Old San Juan, exhibits are also at important hotels like Windham Hotel in San Juan and Paradisus in Rio Grande.
Her paintings are in acrylic on canvas and paper and use texture in some of her work. She also write poems and short stories of the life of Puerto Rican people. She also exhibit this year in the Francisco Oller Museum, one of the most important museums on Puerto Rico.
In 1998 won “Premio Amapola” with a short story titled “Felipe Quimera”. Her paintings are used to make holidays postcards by a very famous companies in Puerto Rico and sell her work throught ebay site.
