Kellie Hogben

Kellie Hogben was born in Margate, Kent, England, (Yes, same as Tracey Emin) in 1987. She lives in Minster-In-Thanet, Kent, and was schooled in the local area. She completed, and passed with merit, a foundation diploma at the University College of the Creative Art (UCCA, previously known as KIAD) in Canterbury, Kent. She passed the first year of a Fine Art degree at Middlesex University, but, due to being thouroughly disatisfied with her course, the facilities and tutors, has transferred to UCCA to complete the three year course. 

In January 2008 she founded the Canterbury Stuckists with boyfriend James Dunn (aka Xavier) and works and exhibits with the ever growing number of members, and also manages their website: http://www.canterburystuckists.tk

Kellie is primarily a painter, working in oils and acrylics, and also enjoys working and experimenting with drawing materials including pencil, pen, ink, charcoal and pastels. She is an accomplished portraitist, but embraces a range of figurative and abstract styles. She enjoys working on a large scale with a range of media, and draws inspiration from a variety of sources. She will often focus in on the details, singling out those images which catch her eye. She also does commissions, please get in touch!
