I am an architect by profession. I have inherited this love for making me surrounded by art, its beauty, and life, it feels so real and so dreamy, so live and so vivid, the world of art is a place where i revive my energy, and it is the place where my father wanted to belong so many long years back. I saw few works of my dad when I was a kid. My dad was good in making live sketches & paintings. But he could not take up arts as a career option , since at that time painting was never considered as a career.
My Dad belongs to Alwar , Rajasthan (INDIA) and Im talking about the time when he was studying i.e.. 1964-67. He also had interest in engineering field. Since my dad didnt belong to well to do family. His life was not easy to even commence his studies smoothly. My grand parents and my paternal uncles couldnt support him. Since the living style of their family was that of a farmer. And to become an engineer or an artist is not at all an easy task for a farmers son.
My father decided to take matter of his life into his own hand. He started working in a dryclean shop during night and took admission in Civil Engineering. He had been supporting himself since his early childhood for his school studies also. But now the matter is more serious and difficult. Since amount of money, hardwork and other efforts required for being an engineer are much more high. He kept his calm and finished his engineering.
He got the job after his studies but in all these years, he somewhere buried his dream of being an artist.During my childhood, when my dad showed me few of his work. I just could imagine , how much effort have gone into making of these sketches and paintings. And realized about his unfulfilled dream. Since I took up architecture, so I didnt had time to fulfill my dads wish. It was somewhere lost in my mind. Than a day come in November 2007, I met few Indian artists through our common friends during a get together. And from a formal discussion which turned into a serious one .
I realized that there are so many artists who didn t get name, money & fame, suffers in this materialistic world. It was like an awakening for my sleeping mind , where my dads dream were buried. I made my mind to make a chain of artists whose works have not been recognized till now in our world. I opened a small art gallery and named it as "Nital art Gallery". I have put works of artists who have joined our gallery on many sites. Now I have started a journey of making dreams fulfilled of my dad and many other artists.
This art gallery is a gift to my dad for whom I never managed to do anything special. I think I got a chance to bring smile on his face. I thank you heartily for your interest in my art gallery. Looking forward to your comments. Regards. Nishant
