From time immemorial, Ethiopian weavers mastered their craft by producing all their clothing requirements at home :

the pinnacle of their craftsmanship is a beautiful and exquisite textile locally known as "tibeb".

Without any modern tools or technology, but using traditional weaving looms, meticulously counting knots, utilising their ages-old ingenuity, these weavers produce patters of infinite combinations of colors and styles.

The result is the stunning handiwork that you are marvelling at, an art form handed over from generation to generation and carried down through the cons to the twenty first century.
