Jeremy Guy BA Hons (Product Design). Born 1966 in Yorkshire, UK. Emigrated in 2007 to live in Ontario, Canada. He is involved with both landscaping and sculpture.
His works are a mixture of flowing forms, sharp contrasts and elegant poise. Inspiration comes mainly from naturally worn or shaped objects, (pebbles, tidal patterns, driftwood etc). Elements of figurative expressionism are employed in his sculpture which enables an anthropomorphic connection with the viewer.
"As a 'reductionist sculptor' I always feel the process of reduction defines creativity as a process discovery. It's a method which embodies the ideals, of awareness, apreciation and truth about the past. Although rather than unearthing the past, it is a search for positive change."
